Baker, Burton & Lundy, P.C. is very pleased to welcome Alese Lesser Rajaniemi to our legal team. Alese was born and grew up in the South Bay and is a litigation attorney at BB&L. Prior to joining BB&L, Alese’s practice encompassed general business, education and personal injury litigation. She represented both plaintiffs and defendants, ranging from individuals to large businesses.
Alese graduated from the University of Southern California, and obtained her Juris Doctor degree from William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii.
While in law school, Alese served on the boards of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and the Environmental Law Society. She was also a founding facilitator for Law for Youth Empowerment, an outreach program dedicated to juvenile justice advocacy.
Alese also attended a summer quarter in Oxford, England studying comparative law and international climate change law and policy. She interned with Justice Sandy R. Kriegler of the Second District of the California Court of Appeal in Los Angeles.
After graduating from law school, Alese served as law clerk to the Honorable Colette Y. Garibaldi (Ret.) in the First Circuit Court of Hawaii. During this time, Alese oversaw dozens of criminal trials, as well as sentencing and fitness hearings.
In 2016, Alese moved back to Southern California and joined Lesser and Associates in Redondo Beach, which specializes in scuba diving and maritime cases, including personal injury and product liability. She then became an associate at The Hahn Legal Group, working primarily on insurance defense and education law cases. Alese joined BB&L for the opportunity to advocate for those who need assistance the most. It is her goal to provide the guidance and advocacy necessary for her clients to receive justice.
Alese is admitted to all state courts in California and Hawaii and is licensed to practice in the United States District Courts of Hawaii and the Central District of California.
Alese is part of the litigation team at BB&L. In her spare time, she enjoys playing beach volleyball, reading mystery novels and spending time with her family. Baker, Burton & Lundy is proud to welcome Alese Lesser to our Litigation department.
